Industrial Welder

A Welder is a professional responsible for assembling pieces of metal or repairing damage in components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metals into shape.

Welder duties and responsibilities

A welder works with different metal components and on various structures, such as pipelines, bridges, power plants, buildings, refineries, road vehicles or even ships. The role is varied. Below are some of the most common responsibilities and duties of a welder:

1. Repair machinery or other components by welding or filling holes
3. Inspect welded surfaces and smooth them for the best finish
5. Align components to be welded using rulers, and clamp the pieces for stability
7. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment
